Tiểu sử:

Miuchi-sensei khởi đầu bằng tác phẩm Mountain Moon and the Baby badger vào năm hai học trung học.Glass Mask là một shoujo manga ăn khách và nổi tiếng nhất trong những series manga cổ điển.Glass mask series xuất hiện trên Hanna to Yume(Flower and Dream)-một tạp chí shoujo hàng tháng xuất bản bởi Hakusensha.Những tác phẩm nổi tiếng khác là Amaterasu,The wonderful Legacy,Tragedy of 13th Month và The instant Wind and Light.Các manga của Miuchi-sensei đã được dịch ra nhiều thứ tiếng:Trung Quốc,Hàn,Indonesia và xuất bản ở nhiều nước châu Á.

Điều gì thúc đẩy bà vẽ manga?!

Câu trả lời có vẻ rất đơn giản:Vì Miuchi-sensei thích đọc manga.

Khi còn là một đứa trẻ,bà thường đến cửa hàng cho thuê truyện tranh gần nhà.Dĩ nhiên là bà vướng vào rắc rỗi vì người chủ đã gửi hóa đơn đến nhà vào cuối tháng.Vào thời gian đó,manga bị xem là "evil book"<lạ thiệt >.Có lẽ rất nhiều người đã rời vào hoàn cảnh tương tự nhau là phải giấu giếm khi đọc chúng hoặc các bậc "phụ huynh" sẽ quăng "tài sản" này đi <sighT_T> .Cha mẹ Miuchi cũng ngăn cấm việc đọc manga,và giải pháp của bà là tự vẽ cho bản thân.Thế là Miuchi-sensei bắt đầu sáng tác lúc 10 tuổi.Trước khi được thừa nhận là một tác giả manga,bà đã có nhiều fan ở trường cao trung.

Miuchi bắt đầu đi theo con đường sáng tác chuyên nghiệp khi tác phẩm của bà đạt giải nhất trong mục "Manga School"("Trường học manga") của Tạp chí Bessatsu ( một trong các tạp chí shoujo manga lớn nhất lúc ấy),thời gian đó bà đang học trường Seikei Osaka ,và truyện được đăng trên tạp chí đó như 1 tác phẩm của mangaka nghiệp dư vào năm 1967. Trong 2 năm tiếp , manga của Miuchi dần dần trở nên quen thuộc và thuộc loại ăn khách với độc giả.

Hai tác phẩm nổi tiếng đầu tiên là Akai Megami (The Red Goddess) và Moeru Niji (The Burning Rainbow) xuất bản năm 1970 và sự thành công của cả hai đã đưa Muichi lên vị trí hàng đầu của phong trào Shoujo manga mới đang bùng phát.

Với những tác phẩm vào đầu những năm 70 như 13-Gatsu no Higeki (The Tragedy of the 13th Month ), Harukanaru Kze to Hikari (the instant Wind and Light ),Majo Media (Media the Witch )....giúp bà thu nhập cao và giàu có .Đồng thời nó giúp Miuchi-sensei trở thành một người hết sức nổi tiếng trong làng mangaka trước khi sự kiện "The Fabulous Forty-Niners" (là một nhóm shoujo mangaka,những người đã tiến hành một cách mạng lớn trong lĩnh vực này với phong cách mới lạ và phức tạp.Gồm:Moto Hagio,Yumiko Ohshima và Keiko Takemiya senseis<liên tưởng tới Clamp^^> ) gây chấn động giữa thập niên 70 .

Thời kì 70-80,Miuchi-sensei vẽ nhiều thể loại thuộc Shoujo Comics. Từ những vở hài kịch ở trường Cao trung cho đến các tác phẩm có nhiều tình tiết phiêu lưu,lãng mạn xen lẫn lịch sử . Đặc biệt bà còn được biết đến như một cây bút xuất sắc của thể loại kinh dị khoảng năm 1975-1976 .Tác phẩm nổi tiếng nhất của Miuchi-sensei ở phần này là Shiroi Kageboushi(The White Slihorette ).

12/1975.Miuchi-sensei bắt tay vào vẽ Garasu no Kamen(GNK)-tác phẩm tiêu biểu cho đến ngày nay. Mặc dù lúc này các fan của shoujo thường đọc những series có tính chất bảo thủ và lỗi thời nhưng GNK nhanh chóng được đón nhận và yêu thích.GNK thu hút đông đảo các fan và qua 20 năm,manga này vẫn được biết đến và hâm mộ.

Bà là một mangaka lừng danh,tên tuổi,hoạt động mạnh và năng động trong làng Shoujo manga. Và Garasu no Kamen dù đã lâu đời vẫn được độc giả ngày nay và các fan trước đây yêu thích,chờ đợi cho đến khi kiệt tác này kết thúc.
